Erbil:On 06/04/2015 ,in the presence of  President  Massoud Barzani, president of Kurdistan Region,  the British consulate has held festive occasion of Eighty-ninth anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II at  Rotana Hotel in Erbil.

Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat  the president of Erbil Chamber of Commerce participated in the celebration ,which has been attended by a  large number of government officials and representatives of professional organization.

the British Consul in in Erbil MR. Ancaus Makay  gave a speech  emphasized of the importance  of Erbil for his  country, praising the cooperation and coordination between the two parties in humanitarian fields as well as cooperation between the British army and the Peshmerga forces in the war against terrorism.

Erbil: On 03.06.2015 Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat President of the  Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry has received in his office Mr. Masaki Honda, first secretary at the Japanese Embassy in Baghdad, who visited the Chamber in order to discuss  the development of economic and trade relations with the Kurdistan Region.

The last ten years and still is working to provide more aid through charitable organizations, and that twenty Japanese company of multi professions are  in the process of visiting the region in order to expand economic presence and seeking to develop industrial construction and other development projects in Kurdistan, and also an official from the Organization of JETRO Japan hoped to visit the region soon, for the same goal, Mr. President of the Chamber welcomed the visit, stressing on the importance of the Japanese companies to have  a bigger role in the economic arena in Kurdistan due to the need for the region to distinctive Japanese experience and products of Japanese  companies  by their accurately industry. Also expressed his regret of the lack of the presence of Japanese companies in the region despite of the explosive economic plans and the size of the existing investment in the region, stressing the need to narrow the gap to reach serious

convergence for future cooperation, and suggested that Japanese companies have  to set up a trade fair in Erbil to open the way for the owners of the commercial interests of  Kurdistan to  joint efforts to serve the economies of both countries.

Erbil: On 02.06.2015 ,Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat President od Erbil Chamber  of Commerce and Industry received in his office a delegation from the Pathfinder Organization ,headed by Michael Thomas, head of the organization, accompanied by a number of representatives of the specialized in the field of traffic engineering / Oil and Gas Chemicals / security and financial companies,  from Britain .

The Sides held  meeting which was attended by a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber. The head of the delegation  stated  the goal of the visit is the possibility of the entry of  those firms mentioned above in the  economic arena Kurdistan.

Mr. President of the Chamber welcomed the guest delegation and the idea of their visit expressed the readiness of the Chamber to  provide the necessary support, and added that the region is  doing well  in all areas ,especially in  economic area,in spite of having delay in some of the projects for not receiving the quota of the budget from Iraqi central governmnet  and decline in global oil prices, however, he stressed the importance of the presence of British companies on the land of Kurdistan to take advantage of its accumulated experience.

Also stressed the importance of the British authorities to facilitate the granting of visas to the owners of the commercial interests of Kurdistan .

The  head of the delegation promised to deliver this message to the stakeholders in the country, at the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to hold a commercial economic conference  which will be held in Erbil in the coming year.
