The German Companies to be back to Kurdistan Region

Erbil: On February 12, 2019, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat, received a delegation of German companies representatives, includes Geit Rabu the manager of the South and Middle European section, the North African and East Asia and Christophe Engrboner the project manager of the German Chambers, and Felix the manager of the Middle Eastern department in the German Chambers Union. 

In a meeting, attended by a number of board of directors members, the president of the Chamber announced that Kurdistan Region and German Chambers have a good relationship and the German- Arab Chambers tries continually to promote relations, this delegation's visit is a good step towards reviewing the plans and setting future plans. 

 

The president of the Chamber said that as the result of the oil price fall, the ISIS war, the economic situation got deteriorated in the Region, but now the projects are started to revive they will witness more development in the near future. The Federal State of Germany is fulfilling a number of good projects annually through a number of organizations, we hope the German companies and investors to come to the Region and participate in reconstruction. 

Dr. Khayat said that Kurdistan Region has a good commercial ties with the neighboring countries, and Germany is known for best quality goods, the people of the region prefers goods of high qualities, that's why the German companies should participate in Kurdistan fairs to introduce their good to audience. Also, he demanded the German party to make facilitation regarding granting visa to the businessmen. 

The German delegation disclosed that the German companies are returning back to the Region due to safety security situation. And, they will be back to present in the Fairs. 

The both party are set to sign a new Memorandum of Understanding.
