Today, Sunday, August 3, 2025, Kamaran Salah Bajkar, Deputy Chairman of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of Ibrahim Mohammed Agha and Rashid Mustafa Mirkhan, members of the Chamber's Executive Council, and Dr. Salahuddin Ahmed, Chamber advisor, welcomed owners and representatives of several companies, factories, and investors from the construction sector of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In a meeting attended by Walat Harki, head of the Economic Department at the Kurdistan Regional Government's representation in Iran, Kamaran Salah Bajkar, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber, delivered a welcoming speech.
In his speech, he expressed his pleasure at the delegation's visit and spoke about the activities and work of Iranian companies in Erbil city, stating: "395 Iranian companies operate in various sectors in the Kurdistan Region, of which 200 companies are in Erbil city. The volume of trade exchange between Iran and Kurdistan is $4 billion annually."
The Deputy Chairman of the Chamber requested the guest delegation to invest in Erbil city and open branches of their companies, assuring that the Chamber will provide support and coordination.
After introducing themselves and discussing their companies' work and activities, the head of the guest delegation announced that they came to invest in the construction sector, particularly in the reconstruction of Erbil city. He stated: "We strive to transfer our experiences to the Region, and in addition to investing and opening branches of our companies, we will establish factories in this sector."
