American Trade Delegation and Companies to Visit Erbil Next Month

Today, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, Kamaran Salah Bajger and Maroof Azizxan Harki, Vice Presidents of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with some members of the Chamber's Executive Council, welcomed Binni Lee, the new head of the Economic Unit at the U.S. Consulate General.
In a meeting attended by the Secretary General of the Union of Chambers, the Chamber's Director General, and the Chamber's advisor, they congratulated the head of the Economic Unit at the Consulate on assuming this position and reaffirmed the Chamber's coordination and support while wishing him success.
Kamaran Salah Bajger, Vice President of the Chamber, expressed hope for increased relations and commercial exchange between America and the Kurdistan Region, striving to attract more American companies and investors to the Kurdistan Region, as well as working in coordination between both sides for the participation of companies and merchants in each other's international exhibitions.
The Chamber representatives also requested assistance and facilitation for traders, business owners, and industrialists from the Kurdistan Region when visiting that country.
Binni Lee, head of the Economic Unit at the U.S. Consulate General, thanked them for this reception and announced that he would strive to improve relations between both sides. In this regard, next month, a trade delegation and companies from the United States will visit Erbil as an economic and commercial center in Iraq.
The meeting discussed investment opportunities in all sectors in the Kurdistan Region and the products manufactured in Kurdistan that are exported abroad.
