Erbil: On 17.6.2015 , Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry ,welcomed in his office a Cypriot Commercial and governmental delegation headed by Mr.Jorjeos Libranidos Vice President of Cypriot Europe Party.
The visit was in order to learn and study the Kurdistan market in preparation for the opening of trade and economic cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and Cyprus.
The delegation has expressed their strong desire to enter the Cypriot companies to the region to gain mutual benefit economies, for his part Mr. President of the Chamber noted to the importance of this visit and to expect further visits by trade delegations to look closely for the development in the region, stressing the importance for Cyprus to open a consulate in Erbil to facilitate the directly access of students and the Kurdish owners of the commercial interests .
Also stressed the need to deliver a message to the concerned economic and trade parties in Cyprus that the Kurdistan Region with a secure and stable status as well as having financial potential, that drive foreign companies to come to there ,to enter into investment and development projects achieve joint gains therein.
Finally, Mr. head of the delegation expressed his delight to this meeting and for the warm reception ,and wished for the Kurdistan Region growth, development and safety.
Erbil: On 15/06/2015, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry for the Kurdistan Region ;President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry ,and , Mr. Fida al-Din Muhammad Amin member of the Board of Directors of the in a chamber participated in a seminar on consumer rights and quality control .
The Seminar was held in the Kurdistan Parliament building, attended by the President and members of the Special Committee of Consumer rights in the parliament as well as representatives from the Council of Ministers - the Ministry of Health - Ministry of Trade and Industry and the import and export Board, as well as a number of experts in this field .They discussed the nature of the subject according the current developments and data on the economic landscape of Kurdistan , as well as the obstacles and difficulties faced by the routine procedure facing those in charge . Therefore, some of them have suggested the need to develop a new system in line with the events, and developments in the business, as there were different views depending on disciplines and responsibilities ,but the goal was the same ,which was " to create a state of compatibility serve the citizen and the state."
