Erbil: On July 27, 2019, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat, the president of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Marissa Smith, the new official of the trade department of the US Consulate General in Erbil, in a meeting they talked about the commercial ties between Kurdistan and the United States.
The commercial ties between the both sides have been in rise throughout the last years, and a Memorandum of understanding have been signed, the newly appointed representative of Commercial affairs will cooperate with the Chambers officials and the the KRG to make the terms of this Memorandum properly implemented.
The president of the Chamber, expressed happiness for having American brand's branches in Kurdistan, willingness to build relations with all the Chambers.
Erbil: On July 21, 2019, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat, the president of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Hussein Burkani, the executive director of the Western Arab Chambers.
In a meeting the both sides emphasized of taking steps for widening relations, joint projects, participation in the exhibitions and ceremonies.
The sides, signed a memorandum of understanding, to be obliged to having by strong commercial relations, delegation exchange, facilitating for businessmen delegation of the both sides, trade info exchanges for the sake of development.
Erbil: On July 24, 2019, a wide gathering held for opening a new Chamber in Kurdistan which is the Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the head of Kurdistan Chambers federation attend the gathering, wherein Peshawa Ahmed selected as the president and Sardar Amin and Bestun Kareem as the deputies.
Dr. Khayat made a speech and did that this step dated back to the last year, when the Kurdistan Board of Economy, gave instruction to the federation to take this necessary step. Dr. Khayat also demanded the Kurdistan Government to open all the required directorates which are responsible for developing the private sector, and the Halabja city development.
The attendees participated in the opening of the headquarters of the New Chamber.
Erbil; On July 9, 2019, a delegation from Kurdistan Chambers federation headed by Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited the Republic of Abkhazia and received by Tamela Valerfina Mirtskhulava the head of the Abkhazian Chamber and its members.
The Abkhazian head of the chamber emphasized on building good relations between the both sides.
Dr. Khayat, also expressed the willing of Kurdistan Region to establish relations and the open doors for those willing to invest in the region. Thereafter, the Memorandum of understanding signed between the both sides.
Raul Jumkavi Khajimba, the president of the republic of Abkhazia welcomed the delegation, they addressed building best business relations. Valerie Ramisokhavi the prime minister of Abkhazia also welcomed the delegation for discussing the same topics.
The delegation visited the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy of the republic .
