Erbil: On 28th Nov 2017, in the presence of a number of governments and Parties officials, and the representatives of the countries The Sri Lanka opened its Honorary Consulate in Kurdistan Region in Erbil. 

Among the attendees were Mr. Falah Mustafa the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government Foreign Affairs Department, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the president of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
