Erbil: On 19/12/2012 Mr.Soran Abu Bakir Deputy Chairman of the       Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry has received, , Mr. Mehdi Mamdouh Kilani President  of Banking Division in Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and the delegation accompanying him.
 At a meeting and after welcoming the guest delegation, Vice President of the Chamber  indicated to the history of banking in Iraq and Kurdistan, as Mr. Soran Abu Bakr gave comprehensive overview of local and foreign banks in the Kurdistan Region, said, "The banking sector in the region is growing rapidly,pointing out that the region looking forward to get to the levels of  developed countries in the banking", calling UAE delegation to have initiative to establish advanced banking system and strengthening the banking system in the region because UAE has  the experiences and expertise of high level in this area, declaring the readiness of the Chamber to provide the necessary support for the success of tasks of their actions in the region.
For his part, Mr. Mehdi Mamdouh Kilani: said "The aim of the visit to Kurdistan is to discuss the economicsituation in general and banking in particular and make the decision to open a branch of their bank in theregion."
As Kilani highlighted the services provided by Bank of Abu Dhabi and services that could be presented by the bank to the citizens of the Kurdistan Region
