Today, Sunday, June 29, 2025, Kamaran Salah Bajkar, Deputy Chairman of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, accompanied by Haji Ismail Surchi, Ibrahim Mohammed Agha, and Rashid Mustafa Mirkhan, members of the Chamber's Executive Council, and Haiman Faruq Nanakali, General Director of the Chamber, visited Cihan University-Erbil where they were received by Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajkar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cihan University, and Dr. Amjad Sabir Dalo, President of the mentioned university.
In a meeting, discussions were held regarding coordination between Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Cihan University-Erbil. The points of the memorandum of understanding between both parties were also highlighted, with the aim of serving the citizens of the Kurdistan Region in general and the class of merchants and craftsmen who are members of the Chamber in particular.
In a speech, Kamaran Salah Bajkar, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber, on behalf of himself and the Chamber's Executive Council, thanked Cihan University for providing the opportunity for free learning and partnership with the Chamber in implementing activities.
The Deputy Chairman of the Chamber announced that it is a source of joy that, as the first step of this memorandum, a Chinese language learning course for members from merchants and craftsmen is being conducted, due to the strong commercial relations between China and the Kurdistan Region and the visits of a large number of our merchants to China, many of whom do not know this language, which gives it special importance.
He also said: "We as an Executive Council and all the administrative staff of the Chamber are ready to do whatever is in our power with Cihan University and any other center to record a beautiful history regarding the interests of our members.
I hope that from all sides we can do better work to advance the level and capabilities of the members of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, because training and developing the human capabilities of our members is our permanent goal."
Then a memorandum of understanding was signed between Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Cihan University-Erbil.
It is worth mentioning that as the first step of this memorandum, in cooperation with the Research and Organizations Affairs Department at the Chamber and Cihan University-Erbil, a Chinese language teaching course was organized for more than 60 merchants and craftsmen who are members of our Chamber.
