Erbil: On 5-1-2015 Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry , has received in his officeMr. Masaaki Huonda , first secretary of Japan Embassy and Masayuki Tahashi second secretary at the Japanese embassy in Baghdad, and the objective of this visit is to expand trade relations between Japan and the Kurdistan Region after receiving the embassy many requests from a number of Japanese companies from various fields to find new markets in the region,.
The mentioned Embassy has recommended that the Kurdistan market is a good and promising market at this time, and the Japanese delegation touched at the meeting to the financial grant donated by Japan in 2014, a $ 28 million in as humanitarian aid refugees and internally displaced Iraqis, and in turn, Mr. President of the Chamber of the hailed this visit, stressing the desire of the Kurdistan Region to expand trade and economic ties with Japan and request the establishment of specialized exhibitions of Japanese products in the region due to its quality and its good reputation of Kurdistan consumer acquisition andacceptance to it, also stressed the need to grant visas from Erbil to Kurds traders and businessmen to have the opportunity tovisit and learn about the Japanese markets closely, and also requested the Kurdistan Companies to participate and visit trade fairs that are held in Japan.
Erbil: On 24/12/2014 , the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry ,held a comercial meeting attended by Mr. Samal SardarMinister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat president of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of theKurdistan Region ,and the both Heads of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sulaimaniyah and Dohuk and the General Director in the Ministry of Trade and Industry as well as delegates from Ministry of Agriculture - health, trade and a number of importers of food in the region in order to focus on the importance of choosing the goods to be good in quality ,away from corrupt expired brands , as well as taking the opinion of importers of food into account when issuing instructions for the import of these materials to the region.
Mr. President of the Union gave a speech which highlighted the importance of the not choice of food unfit for human usebecause it is related to the health of citizens, as well as to listen to the opinion of the public in this regard for consideration andtaking into account the useful ones. The Minister of Trade and Industry then talked and stressed that the ministry is keen to ensure the public interest and to stay away from hurting any of the parties concerned, and noted the importance of holdingfrequent meetings in this regard and also touched on the coordination has been with the Ministry of Commerce in the central government regarding the independence of the Region in the granting of import licenses for importers of food, as well as the development of special directorates to start work at border crossing points of the region to overcome the routine and do procedures directly instead of repeated revisions of the concerned departments inside
