Erbil, On June 27, 2018, A delegation from the Shernakh from Turkey, visited the Erbil Chamber of Conner and Industry, and received by Soran Abu Bakir, the deputy president. The delegation wanted to consolidate mutual relations through this visit, and strengthen the trade exchange between Erbil and Shernakh.

The visiting delegation, announced that they will open a branch of their legal department in Erbil to facilitate for the traders and businessmen that working between these Two cities. The deputy president expressed the chamber's best support for that.

Erbil: During the period of June 26-28, 2018, in attendance of more than 600 experts in the field of economy, decision makers, and owners and representatives of companies the Arab- German Business Forum held in Berlin. The Forum was supervised by the German Ministry of Energy, the aim of holding it was to expand trade exchange between Arab states and Germany. The Chamber delegation was included, Mustafa Muhammad, Baqi Muhammad, Kamal Aziz, the Members of the Board of Directors of the Chambers. The delegation had chance to meet other delegation, and discussed with them the ways to enhance commercial corporations.

Erbil: On June27, 2018, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat, the President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received a delegation from MEDEF International, headed by Lip Gutter, the president of the organization, and Catherine Dorgnas the director for Middle Eastern affairs. In a meeting, the strengthen of economic relations, increase of trade exchanges, and more meeting and mutual exchange of delegation between Kurdistan Businessmen and France have been discussed.

The Organization was established in 1989 in France, 7000 companies from 85 different regions of France are member of it. It's a private world network, has regularly relation with the World Bank. The main task of the Organization is to offer services to French Companies and develop them.

Erbil: On July 26, 2018, under the supervision of the General Union of the Iraq Chambers, the Second Conference of the Iraq Reconstruction ( The Iraqi and French Partnership in the Reconstruction Stage of Iraq), held in Paris. The Conference included Three panels, the First, was on Investment sector in Iraq. The Second, was on the energy Sector, which has been held by Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he addressed the ways to develop the energy sector and finding suitable solutions for stalemates. . The Third One, discussed the foundation of Banking System infrastructure. Sarkawt Bazaz, Majeed Jalal, Abdulkareem Mustafa, the members of the Board of Directors of the Chambers were attended the Conference.

Erbil: On June6, 2018, The Lebanon ambassador in Iraq visited the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and welcomed by the President, Deputies and Members of Board of Directors of the Chamber. In a meeting, Ali Adib the Lebanon ambassador in Iraq, emphasized on the continuation and development of relations with Kurdistan Region in all of the fields, specifically, in all sectors of trade and investment, and working to bring the Lebanese companies delegates and representatives to visit Kurdistan Region. Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat, the president of Erbil Chamber, announced that, Lebanon has an active role in the advancement of the sectors in the Region, like starting up investment, bringing in commercial delegations, opening the bank branches and establishing good relations with the Kurdistan Chambers, hoped much more progress on this regard.

Erbil: June 13, 2018, a delegation from the Romanian diplomatic mission to Iraq, included the Romanian Ambassador, the Consul General in Erbil, and the official of the commercial department in the consulate, visited the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the well received by Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat, the President of the Chamber. The visiting delegation announced that they have been able to build good relationships with Iraq and Kurdistan Region over the past recent years. They try to not let it retreat. " Beyond the commercial relations, a number of memorandums of understanding have been signed between the Kurdish and Romanian Chambers. Erbil and Brasov announced the sisterhood,." Erbil: On June 21, 2018, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the President of Erbil Chamber and Industry, received Cameron Millard, the new appointed official of the trade and economy department in the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil.

Millard said" we came here to be ensured about the situation of the Kurdistan Region trade with abroad, and to enhance the level of commercial relationship with Kurdistan Region, it will be our top priority," added" We would like to our companies to take advantage from the stability in the Region and start up their investment projects. We also need to know the available sectors for investment."

The President of the Chamber hailed the good relations between the both sides but he took the notice on the the level of corporation and the number of the U.S. Companies function in the Region," He said" Kurdistan Region is in need to the foreign investment in all the sectors. But, prefers for them doing Investment in the agriculture sector as the Region has a fertile ground and climate. And, also the health sector and reconstruction," He emphasized that" The development in the industrial sector, establishment of factories are required for the developing the local products and creating job opportunities." He expressed the support of the Chamber for all of like that investment.
