Erbil:On 17October 2012, Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat the president of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry has received in the chamber's headquarters a commercial delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan included both Sabri Ahmed Zelain President of Kirk Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, and Mr. Mohammed Abu Taleb, director of the commercial center of the Jordanian Consulate in Erbil ,,and a number of members of the board of directors of the chambers of industry and trade and representatives of a number of Jordanian companies. In the beginning of the meeting and in the presence of both Mr Soran Abu Bakir Aziz, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber and a number of members of the Board of Directors Mr Khayat welcomed the visiting delegation and wished them a pleasant stay in the Kurdistan Region. Mr. Khayat in his speech highlighted the bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, said: "Thanks to the efforts of both sides, the relations is undergoing good, and should be working on cementing." Turning to the development of the Kurdistan Region, especially in the commercial field and added: "The economic situation in Kurdistan is the subject that drew the attention of foreign companies and the actual number is increasing." For his part, Mr. Sabri expressed his gratitude to the warm welcome they received during the reception.,and expressed desire of Jordanian companies to work in the Kurdistan Region and access to jobs. At the end of the meeting Mr. Khayat expressed the Chamber readiness to provide assistance to Jordanian companies wishing to work in Kurdistan, then gave gifts of appreciation to the members of the visiting delegation.
