At the outset Mr President of the Chamber welcomed the guest delegation and wished them a pleasant stay in the Kurdistan Region, added: "This is the first visit and a good initiative of Qatar businessmen and investors for Kurdistan upon an official invitation, " we hope that this meeting will be a cornerstone of trade relations between the Kurdistan Region and the State of Qatar. " In another aspect of his speech thanked all those had a key role in the advent of this delegation to Kurdistan, and highlighted areas where Qataris outperforming in, including sport, as the State of Qatar will organize the football World Cup in 2022, and Mr. President of the Chamber said that this global sporting event will have a positive impact on the State of Qatar and the region as a whole, in addition to the agricultural and tourist areas, and in this context, Mr. Khayat gave explanation about the nature of the Kurdistan climates and geography and tourist attractions. As Mr. Khayat cast light on developments in Kurdistan, saying: "Kurdistan is witnessing a real renaissance, although the main factor in this case, is the stability of the security and economic situations, and this is the reason why foreign companies to come to the region, work and invest." Mr. President of the Chamber highlighted the areas that can be for business and investors, and pointed to the Investment Law No. 4 of year 2006 in the Kurdistan Region, which offers huge concessions to foreign investors. In a speech to Mr. Mohammed Rashid Al Mari investor in the media field who headed the Qatari delegation, thanked the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry which organized this meeting and the first of its kind, also expressed his thanks and gratitude to Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, president of the Kurdistan Regional Government, which sent the Qatari delegation official invitation to visit Kurdistan. Also added: "We would like in the future the opening of the Qatari-owned commercial center in Erbil, with a view to continuity of business activities between the two parties." During the conference Mr. Fidaaldin Gardi religion board member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Erbil highlighted the need to open bank branches in Kurdistan and the private banks insurance. At the end of the conference, the representatives of the Qatari companies introduced their companies and the nature of their business, and expressed the importance of this meeting, which collect them because of its significant role in promoting the confidence and support of commercial relations between the two parties. .
