Erbil: On April 25, 2019,  a conference on intellectual property was held under the auspices of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry  in coordination with the French Consulate General / Economic Department, attended by a number of relevant government officials including the Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Parliament of Kurdistan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, Director General of Quality Control in the Ministry of Health - Head of the Center for Information and Strategic Studies, Dr. Dara Jalil Al-Khayat, President of the Erbil Chamber and the French Consul General , who spoke about the issue and its negative repercussions and the importance of the role of government and quality control institutions to reduce the entry fake and imitation goods. 

The conference was composed of two pronged program in which local specialists talked about the role of the regional government and its measures to combat a trade in violation of international laws as well as the role of the private sector in confronting this dangerous scourge practiced by some of the international mafias to obtain Illegal gain at the expense of the health and pockets of citizens.

Erbil: On April 22, 2019, Dr. Dara Jalil Al-Khayat, the President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated in the opening ceremony of the 11th Exhibition for Building, Construction and Energy, which was attended by 200 competent companies from 15 countries, including 22 companies from Saudi, it has been the first  time for Saudi Arabia companies to participate. 

The inauguration was attended by a number of government and party officials including: Qubad Talabani, Vice President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Derbaz Kosrat Rasul, the Minister of Construction, Nawzad  Hadi, the Governor of Erbil, Chairman of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and a number of local companies specialized in housing represented in the fair.
